Shashikant was born on 22nd July 1958 at Yavatmal in Maharashtra
State. He has completed his schooling at Yavatmal and received
his BFA from Govt. Chitrakala Mahavidyalaya, Nagpur in 1982. He moved to Madras
in the same year and worked at RK Swamy Advertising Agency as
a professional photographer till 1989. After that he established
Shashikant Advertising Photography in 1992 in Chennai.
He has worked with almost all the leading advertising agencies
as well as direct clients in the country. He is contributing
to the advertising industry till date. He has handled hundreds
of assignments, in a broad spectrum of categories such as food,
fashion, people, product, still life, industrial, portraiture
etc
Apart from commercial aspects he was always keen in art photography.
His work on floral, architecture and light series is remarkable.
His body of works on Jaipur and Delhi architecture has a unique
approach. His volume of work on light series with abstract varied
hues and forms are fabulous. He had his photographic exhibitions
on floral at Chennai and Jehangir Art Gallery,
Mumbai in 1997.
He is a faculty and founder of Shashikant School of Photography. |
Manisha Raju was born on 13th December 1969, at Nagpur Maharashtra
State. She has graduated from Nagpur University with Mathematics,
Statistics and Physics. She is Post graduated in Public administration
and Human Resource Management from Nagpur University. She received
her Ph.D. in Management on a thesis “A critical study on performance
appraisal of co-operative cotton spinning mills in Vidarbha region”
in 2003. She has served as a Professor for MBA Department in
Bharat Engineering College, Thangavelu engineering College and
MNM Jain Engineering College Chennai.
She is currently handling Planning, Operation and administration
of Shashikant School of Photography. |
